About Us

Since the early 1900s, we’ve been helping people across Queensland and the Northern Territory live life in all its fullness

UnitingCare QLD's Family and Disability Services

At the heart of what we do is a simple belief: every person deserves support and care that feels personal.

Our dedicated team are out in communities across Queensland every day, connecting with individuals and families, walking alongside them as they navigate their journeys toward positive change and growth.

We deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions for those facing adversity and utilise our reach and vision to confront injustice.

Family Support

Whether it’s navigating the difficult waters of separation, helping to maintain precious bonds between parent and child, or simply finding ways to become a better parent, UnitingCare can help.

Even in the midst of family violence, we work to change behaviours and provide sanctuary.

Our early education and childcare services stretch across the state to ensure every Queenslander has the opportunity to reach their potential.

Homelessness services

UnitingCare is here to support anyone experiencing homelessness or finding themselves at risk of homelessness in Queensland.

Our teams provide emergency accommodation on the Gold Coast and in Townsville, support and referral for young people, crisis intervention, counselling and emotional support, training on living skills, budgeting skills and financial management, practical assistance and advocacy.

Foster and kinship care

The decision to care for a child in your home is one of the most important and rewarding decisions you can make.

At UnitingCare, we’re committed to supporting all foster carers throughout their journey in changing the life of a child or young person, with information sessions, training, and ongoing support.

Counselling and wellbeing

Every day we see people who need someone to lean on. Those tackling mental illness, young people trying to make their way in the world, people facing addiction, adults struggling with finances, or communities reeling from disaster.

Disability and lifestyle support

We believe everyone has the right to live a rich and fulfilling life that is not defined by disability — a life where you're free to make your own decisions, however big or small.

With coverage across South-East Queensland, Townsville and Toowoomba, we encourage people to challenge their limits and support them in setting their long-term goals.
